Students will learn the basics of throwing on the wheel using a pottery wheel and locally sourced clay from Bethune, SC. Must sign up ahead of time because space is limited, we only have 5 wheels. (If we have more than 5 sign up, students will just have to wait until a wheel is open.) Children must be 8yrs to 15 yrs old. Students will have to come back a week or so later to paint their pottery.

Please wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting clay on them. No long sleeves, jewelry should be removed before class & we are not responsible for lost personal items. We recommend you tie back or put up long hair so that it doesn't get in the way while throwing pottery. Also we do recommend not getting your nails done, especially long nails before your lesson, it may make throwing more difficult. If you have any questions please let us know.
